Jennifer Wienner

My mission is to celebrate the identities of the people I work with as well as share what my perception and experience has to contribute to the work of myself and others in order to curate a unique experience and address contemporary topics through contemporary, improvisation, modern, and post-modern approaches.

ABOUT ME

Jennifer Wienner was born in Baltimore, Maryland U.S.A. in 1998.  She studied at City Dance Conservatory in Bethesda, Maryland and modeled for Curtain Call and A Wish Come True costume companies.  In Winter of 2017 she moved to Israel to study with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company where she worked with choreographers such as Rami Be’er, Eyal Dadon, and Oded Graf and performed works by Rami Be’er, Martin Harriague, and Mats Ek’s- Cullberg Ballet Repertoire.   During her time on the kibbutz she participated in the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company Choreographers Lab which later presented her work in Zichri Theatre.  She has participated in summer courses such as the Tel Aviv Gaga Intensive, Vir2oz, Limón Dance Company, San Francisco Conservatory, Axis Connect, NW Dance Project, Mark Morris Dance Group, Gibney Dance Company, and Vim Vigor.  She has had the pleasure of performing at Lincoln Center New York, The Hippodrome Baltimore, Lyric Opera House Baltimore, and Zichri Theatre Ga’aton.  

 

In Fall of 2017, Jennifer moved to Boston, Massachusetts where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Minor in Psychology from Boston Conservatory at Berklee in Winter of 2020. There, she danced for notable choreographers including Adrienne Hawkins, Catherine Coury, Otis Sallid, Bradley Shelver, and Martha Nichols as well as presenting her own work in black box productions.
